King Djoser was a pharaoh in Ancient Egypt. Imhotep sought to weave powerful magics to turn Djoser into an immortal but instead conjured the Red Death by accident. The Red Death rendered them both immortal but enslaved and corrupted them at the same time.[1]
For a thousand years, King Djoser and Imhotep menaced Egypt until they were thwarted by King Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti, who placed Imhotep in a mystical prison.[2]
King Djoser's fate has not been revealed. If he was rendered a true immortal the same way as Imhotep was, then he was likely bound into a prison the same way. However, other sources describe him as "merely" a mummy (albeit one with the power to summon scorpions)[3]
