Jeremy Carter

Jeremy Carter is a pitiable, rag-clad beggar that eternally wanders the Midnight Market looking for his disappeared fiance Emily. Despite the aid of several of the Market's denizens, Jeremy has been unable to find her for the past two hundred and fifteen years.

As a dread possibility, the reason for Jeremy's inability to find his lost fiance reflects his curse as darklord of the Market. In this dread possibility, the Market exists as a pocket domain within Jeremy's mind (although reaching outward into the physical realms). Jeremy's body in the Market is merely a )albeit solid) projection; his real body lies comatose in an asylum in Jeremy's homeland of Mordent]. Jeremy is cursed never to find his sister, for he murdered her.
