Jeanne Witherspoon

This section contains canon info from officially published sources |
The daughter of impoverished French immigrants and an unsuccessful singer in London, Jeanne Worthings had her dream come true when Charles Witherspoon asked her to be his bride. Later, her elation turned to vicious jealousy when she discovered he was meeting privately with some of the ladies of the night at his clinic for the poor. She mistook his job as a fence for adulterous liaisons. She began a crusade of murders to drive them off, becoming London's Jack the Ripper, at least until she was killed by an unknown assailant.[1]
Following her death, she rose as an evil spirit bound to the urn that held her ashes. Charles left London and migrated to Boston, where he soon resumed his old ways. This rousted Jeanne from her slumber, and she began possessing tramps in order to kill those who would steal Charles away from her.[1]
