Called the White Knight of Christendom. Janos Hunyady is known in Transylvania as a hero in Transylvania and elsewhere for his battles against the Turks and other foes of Hungary. He rebuilt Hunedora Castle and is the father of Matthias Corvinus[1] Hunyady's corpse resides in the Tomb of Janos Hunyady in Alba Iulia[2] The Red Death manipulated events such that he met Vlad Dracula and became friends with him. Eventually advocated for Dracula to be put upon the throne of Wallachia. (This was perhaps the only major blemish on Janos' otherwise sterling reputation.[3]

Janos' descendant, Magda Arany, tries to live up to her ancestor's legacy by fighting evil with a secret society she founded called the Sword of Hunyady.[4]
