Janet (Maid)

Janet is a minor character from Heaven's Bones. She was a maid to Margaret Robarts and Dr. Sebastian Robarts. After her dismissal, she came to serve Dr. Sophie Huxley.

History

Janet was the personal servant to Margaret Huxley. After Margeret's death in childbirth in 1867, Dr. Sebastian Robarts succumbed to grief and dismissed all of his servants. In the following months, Dr. Robarts succumbed to madness and manipulation by Trueblood and began creating human-construct monstrosities known as Angels. On one misty evening Dr. Robarts attempted to take Janet and take her to become one of his Angels. However, due to interference from Davy McPhee and Robarts capture by the Mists, this fate was avoided. Because of the fog and trauma of the incident, Janet did not know the fate of her attacker until many years later.

Janet eventually came to work for Dr. Sophie Margaret Huxley, and they formed a close bond. She witnessed Robarts' murder of Dr. Bartholomew McPherson, Sophie's colleague and former mentor. Before he perished, McPherson warned Janet of Robarts' intentions to capture Sophie. Although she was badly injured by Robarts, Janet was able to get word to Artemis Donovan with help.
