Iolanthe Van Schelm is a member of the Van Schelm Family, the daughter of Gerard Van Schelm, and the granddaughter of Archibald Van Schelm. Unfortunately for Iolanthe, Gerard accrued a large debt at the Le Coq Noir gambling house through gambling. As a result, he had to give consent that Iolanthe would become married to Guy Larouche.[1]
