Before her execution, Ilona Beglitzi resided in Lekar. Along with her daughter Samaranda Beglitzi, she was impaled in the town square and left to die. Unlike Samaranda, she might have survived long enough to have gotten some help from some passing strangers. If this was the case, she would have fled Lekar with the rest of her family. It was very likely she was innocent of any crime.[1]
