Goblins are identified in the minds of many with Tepest where they are infamous for ambushing travellers^[1][2], but they are found elsewhere such as Borca^[3], Darkon^[4][5], Dementlieu^[6][7], Falkovnia^[8], Kartakass^[9][10], Richemulot ^[11][12], Sanguinia^[13], Sithicus^[14], and Verbrek (in the region that was formerly Arkandale)^[15]. Caliban births occur among this species and surviving individuals typically rise to positions of leadership (use hobgoblin statistics).^[16] Goblins, and goblins alone, have achieved a measure of control over goblin beasts, which they use as guards and mounts.^[16] Goblins in the Land of Mists excel at trapmaking rather than riding (a +2 racial bonus for Craft (Trapmaking) is substituted for the racial bonus for Ride).^[16] Spellcasters tend to be female, either adepts or, more rarely, clerics.^[16] Hags intimidate and exploit goblins to their dark ends, sometimes nurturing adepts.
