George Artiari is the current count of Liffe and the son of Count Modest Artiari and Countess Ingrid Artiari. After Ingrid's death at the hands of Modest transformed into a vampire, George staked his father.[1]
Following the demise of his parents, George became obsessed with finding a cure for vampirism, even if it meant resorting to teaming up with a vampire to supply him with test subjects. Artiari's deal involved the vampire murdering sailors in the Nocturnal Sea and bringing their bodies to the Count's home in return for safety and shelter.[2]. Count Artiari's vampire partner is named Santori Maino.[3]
Count Artiari resides in a fortress known by the townsfolk as simply "The Castle".[4] He also has a homunculus familiar named Blighter.[5]
Dariana has been sent by the Kargat to investigate Count Artiari and what is going on in Armeikos.[6]
