In life, Dame Evangeline Stubbe was a knight of The Great Kingdom of Avonleigh who served as a guard for King Christopher. When King Christopher called Elena Faith-hold back to account for the excessive zeal of her War of Evil, Dame Evangeline was one of the knights on duty during the confrontation. At one point during the argument between King Christopher and Elena Faith-hold, Elena advanced upon the king in a threatening manner. When Dame Evangeline intervened, Elena Faith-hold killed her. This murder was the action which stripped Elena Faith-hold of her status as a paladin of Belenus.[1]
Upon the formation of Nidala, the Dark Powers brought back Dame Evangeline as a death knight guarding a statue of her king. Although she seeks to kill Elena Faith-hold, she is bound to the statue and cannot leave its vicinity.[1]
