Eleni of Toyalis is a Rashemani woman who is Hazlik's apprentice and his closest confidante. She reside in Ramulai in Hazlan. Unlike almost all Rashemani, she wears elaborate tattoos in the Mulani style.[1] These tattoos have several magical functions, from those intentionally created to disturbing "gifts" granted by the Dark Powers.[2]
Canon Information
Statistics for Eleni appear in the Who's Doomed section of Gazetteer 1.[3]
Zaglaive is her hawk familiar.[3] She has given him humanoid form using a spell.[3]
As one would expect a scholar (and in flagrant violation of what Hazlani society expect from a Rashemani), Eleni maintains professional dialogues with several people abroad. Eleni is known to have sent Perseyus Lathenna a pamphlet describing some unusual battle magic, indicating that she may have been aware that the gnomish mage was aiding the Weathermay-Foxgrove twins in the writing of Van Richten's Arsenal.[4] Eleni writes regularly to several other known confidants, including Lord-Speaker Mason of Har-Thalen and Mulger D'Ajust.[1]
