Duke Godefroy de Bouillon

Appearing in the Ravenloft Dominion novel Black Crusade, Duke Goedfroy de Bouillon of France was one of the leaders of the First Crusade. Under his leadership among others, the Crusaders broke down the protective walls around Jerusalem in 1099 AD. Following this collapse, the invading Crusaders butchered many of Jerusalem's inhabitants before taking over.[1] Duke Godefroy became the Princeps of the [Kingdom of Jerusalem]]. Relevant to the story of Black Crusade, he presided over the trial of heretic priest and murderer Father Lambrecht Raes, whom was ultimately found guilty.[2]
