The cold caller is a species of malicious, winged fish that dwell in arctic and subarctic climates. These strange creatures are able to lure out out the curious with their flute-sounding singing and then hypnotize them with their dancing. Hypnotized victims have little choice but to follow the cold callers, typically onto thin ice where they meet their doom in the frigid waters below.^[1] Note that the cold caller was never updated to 3.x Edition, so the creature types assigned below are speculative.
