Chayan Yagnik is the Rajadhiraja of Pakat. He has lived many years, most of which were years of hunger for his city. He credits the East Rajian Trading Company for bringing food to his people.[1]
Chayan Yagnik is a particular devotee of Savitri, a Rajian sun god. Rumor has it that he may be intentionally depriving the Temple of Ratri of resources so that Savitri might ascend to become the patron of Pakat.[1]
The elephant Supratika is the centerpiece of Chayan Yagnik's menagerie.[1]
