I like this idea, but how do you intend to color code the events? Will you be putting a timeline in text form here in the category page? -- Gonzoron 15:14, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

It's tempting, but I think no. Any NPC page with a decent history is going to have several years on their page. We don't want an NPC put in several year categories, I think. Now, events might be a good thing to put in a year category. But maybe we can get away with "Category:Events of ___ BC" and just link that from the year page. We might want to even make it "Major Events of ..." I don't think we want a page for every single event, like "Prince Bevis Vistin starts his reign," or "Dr. Van Richten fights the Golem of the Fens".. etc.

I think the best way to handle the years is to manually keep a list of timeline events of that year. Importing from the Mangrum timeline is a good start, but also using the "what links here" button. -- Gonzoron 19:20, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
