I am beginning to wonder if Nationality is the right term. First, nationality presumes a state and not every domain has a government. Second, and the actual spur to thought, is the matter of people who emigrate. Take Richten or Ray. They are Darkonian but they are also, respectively, Mordentish and Dementlieuse. Would origin be better? In which case they would only be Darkonian. Combine that with a category such as Inhabiant of Mordent and one has a thorough going solution. Further, the latter part of the suggestion has already been implimented for Falkovnia (Category:Inhabitants of Falkovnia).

Thoughs?

I'm fine with the suggestion of using the Inhabitants of ___ to denote where they live now and the nationality to denote where they are from. seems to make perfect sense, and I support it 100%. I don't know about changing Nationality to Origin. I'll have to stew on it for a while. I think Nationality has a lot going for it in terms of intuitiveness, and as a contrast to Ethnicity. There's also the stickyness that Nationality makes sense a subset of society, but I'm not sure that Origin does. Anyone else have thoughts? -- Gonzoron 21:05, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

I agree that nationality has a lot going for it and I have written a note for it that effectively fixes one of its problems.

OK, I like the note, though I think that a lot of this stuff should be moved to Mistipedia:Categorization Guidelines, since it's not specific to Nationality. I'll do that (leaving a reference here to there) when I get a chance. -- Gonzoron 21:38, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
