Is Har'Akiri and Akiri the same thing, or is the first just Har'Akir and so is Nationality, and the second is the whole of the Amber Wastes and is Ethnicity?Cure 17:02, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Looks like the latter based upon the description of the Akiri Pantheon in RSC.Cure 18:43, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure if Har'Ariki has ever been seen in print... I've seen people write it online, but I think that it was always Akiri in print. I could of course be wrong. Standard "my books are packed" excuse/disclaimer applies. -- Gonzoron 19:46, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

I stand corrected. Black Box, Red Box, and Domains of Dread all say "Har'Akiri natives" when describing the folk of the domain. Har'Akiri are described as "brown", Pharazians as "dusky", and the Sebuan wild children as "dark-skinned". No conclusive evidence that they are the same Ethnicity. It's only in 3rd edition when this switches to Akiri, describing both the people of Har'Akir and the pantheon (which also has some underground adherents in Pharazia) and also the language. The Akiri are described as "dusky bronze to deep chocolate brown" and the Pharazians as "olive tan to dusky bronze".. Since their skin tone is lighter, I'm gonna say Pharazians are a different ethnicity. (probably meant to evoke Middle Eastern, rather than Har'Akir's North African). The Sebuan children are also deep bronze to brown, so they might be ethnically Akiri, and Sebuan ruins show Akiri was once the dominant language, "Clearly, Sebua once shared strong bonds with ...Har'Akir". (RLPH p 169).

So long story short: The language and pantheon have only been referred to as Akiri, the people of Har'Akir have been referred to as both, but the influence of Har'Akir on Sebua has been referred to only as Akiri. So, my gut says Har'Akiri is the nationality, Akiri is the ethnicity, and it stretches to Sebua. That's not confirmed definitively in Canon, but it's enough of a nitpick that I think we can get away with having Category:Har'Akiri as a Nationality and Category:Akiri as an Ethnicity, with appropriate links between them and notes that this is based on a bit of . (Then we also need Akiri (Language), Category:Akiri Pantheon and Akiri, a disambig page that can send you to all of these... )

Oh, in case you couldn't tell, my books are finally unpacked. ;) -- Gonzoron 01:58, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

I think I got them all. DeepShadow 04:20, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
