The echelon are members of the Ildi'Thaan that have psionic wild talents. Although theoretically equal in power with the hopeful (those who aspire to but don't have wild talents), the echelon are in practice given more privileges and autonomy. They are the only members allowed inside Irkat Thaan.[1]
