The majority of the Murillian elves drawn into Ravenloft had enough evil in their hearts to be transformed into living equivalents of elven vampires. They have the abilities and weakness specific to elven vampires but do not have the immunities and abilities of the undead in general.^[1]

After the remaining uncorrupted elves fled into Sithicus, the vampire elves are the only ones still living in Murillia.^[2] They are completely subservient to their queen, but they loathe her.^[3]
