In the false history of Falkovnia, the Karloff Family was a family of dark wizard]s that constructed Rook Hill Manor in Delmunster by 656 BC at the latest.[1] After Vlad Drakov came to power, the Karloffs assisted in the war against Darkon, earning a sizable hoard of wealth.[2]
In 711 BC and by now in the real history of Falkovnia, the manor's servants hatched a conspiracy to destroy the Karloffs. It was thwarted with the killing of the conspirators and their reanimation as juju zombies, but this prevention was not enough to curb the gradual slide towards extinction the family was facing thanks to their own black magic or that of rival mages.[3]
At the time of the [[Falling Star of 737 BC, Yuri Karloff was the sole heir of the Karloff fortune, having ousted the rest of his clan through treachery. His fate following his discovery of the Falling Star of 737 BC is unknown, save that he was driven mad.[2] and very quite possibly died when the town was decimated by a doppelganger plant from said falling star.
