Jack Frost is a term for malicious fey that abide in arctic regions and mountaintops. They subsist on the body warmth of other creatures and delight in tormenting them to death in the process. They speak their own language, which is unknown to others. They may be either male or female, despite the masculine name. A group of Jack Frosts is referred to as a flurry.[1]
Although the Jack Frost lacks the Shapechanger Subtype, a Jack Frost may transform into several forms. Beyond the normal humanoid-like form, a Jack Frost may assume a gaseous form (as per the spell) that inflicts cold damage. In addition, a Jack Frost may assume assume a blustering form of snowflakes that acts as a Hypnotic Pattern spell. In humanoid form, the Jack Frost's bite inflicts frostbite.[1]
Jack Frosts may be encountered on cold mountain tops and in arctic climate regions.[1]
