The Guardian Portrait is a type of construct animated by magic. It physically resembles a portrait, usually of a person of noteworthiness or import. The style of a portrait tends to be one that emphasized realistic likeness of the subject of the painting. Though guardian portraits have no physical attacks, they animate to attack intruders with spell-like abilities when roused.^[1] One is known to reside in Castle Ravenloft.
