Giant ant lions are massive versions of the common ant lion, large enough to trap and eat humans that stumble upon their pit-traps. Giant ant lions can be encountered in the domain of Har'Akir.[1]

The listings of Ant lion in the Har'Akir table in the 2nd edition Realm of Terror and Ravenloft Campaign Setting boxed sets[2][3] are probably intended to refer to giant ant lions.

As giant insects, giant ant lions also can be encountered in the domain of G'Henna[4][5], Souragne[6], and Sri Raji[6]
