A blood bank is a place for the storage of blood. Given the existence of blood transfusion, blood banks conceivable exist in the leading medical facilities of the Land of Mists. Blood is also stockpiled by certain vampires and vampyres. "Strahd's larder", the prison block deep beneath Castle Ravenloft, is a blood bank. All of Barovia is in fact a blood bank as far as its lord is concerned. Bankers in Borca also sometimes have recourse to the stocking of blood to assist in the eventual recollection of loans.
