Andrew Harker was a whaler who traveled to Arca and picked up Saloi Asani as a guide. He exploited her feelings for him to get to her stay as a guide to Arca. After she discovered he already had a wife, he had her tossed into the freezing waters of Arca. She came back as a frost vampire and slew them all.[1]
