Ambrose Skully is a Darkonian gnome bard, dirgist, and a member of the Fraternity of Shadows. Originally from Viaki, rejection from a would-be lover caused a continuing and progressive descent into debauchery and alcoholism. Skully wandered from place to place, performing to support his expensive habits. Beyond his hedonism, Skully conducted investigations into the occult to provide himself with inspiration for his stories and poetry. His research brought him to the attention of the Fraternity, an organization into which he was eventually inducted. However, his addictions have drawn the ire of his colleagues, who have reduced his role in the organisation to managing Le Café de Nuit. Ambrose's past has left him eternally in a bitter mood.[1]
Ambrose Skully is the writer of Withering Heights.[2]
