Agnus Lockwood suffered from a lifelong debilitating disease. However, she eventually met and fell in love with a man named Matthew. He gave her a locket. However, when he learned of her diseased nature, he abandoned her. She almost committed suicide, but decided against it. However, Angelique Lockwood killed her by strangling her with the locket. Now she guards the locket jealously, not ever leaving her room.[1]
