- Gwydion tires of his realm in the Demiplane of Shadow, and decides to conquer new worlds. To this end, he orders Arak the Erlking to construct a massive artifact, the Obsidian Gate, so Gwydion can send his shadow elf armies forth to conquer. [1] [2]
