Goblins are identified in the minds of many with Tepest where they are infamous for ambushing travellers[1][2], but they are found elsewhere such as Darkon[3][4], Dementlieu[5][6], Kartakass[7][8], Richemulot [9][10], and Verbrek (in the region that was formerly Arkandale)[11]. Caliban births occur among this species and surviving individuals typically rise to positions of leadership (use hobgoblin statistics).[12] Goblins, and goblins alone, have achieved a measure of control over goblin beasts, which they use as guards and mounts.[12] Goblins in the Land of Mists excel at trapmaking rather than riding (a +2 racial bonus for Craft (Trapmaking) is substituted for the racial bonus for Ride).[12] Spellcasters tend to be female, either adepts or, more rarely, clerics.[12] Hags intimidate and exploit goblins to their dark ends, sometimes nurturing adepts.
