Hilde Borganov
Hilde Borganov is a wereray and natural lycanthrope born to a clan of wererays in the Nocturnal Sea that laired near Selbstmorde Reef. The clans was decimated by aptly prepared surface dwellers, with Hilde being the sole survivor. The attack, and probably the lose of her clan, persuaded Hilde to seek other hunting grounds and a long search culminated in her discovery of an abandoned outpost of Slay-Lot (City). Its sealed up temple persuaded Hilde that the Slay-Lot (Race) were locked in a perpetual slumber within. She settled in the small and remote fishing port of Tidemore, married its burgomeister, infected over half the population with the dread disease, and established a cult dedicated to the revival of the Slay-Lot. As of 751 BC she still has not realised that far from being a lost race, the Slay-Lot were alive and well in the Drowning Deep across much of the Nocturnal Sea. Indeed the competitors of her clan back at Selbstmorde Reef may well have been members of the race. There may have been much that she would have been taught on the matter by her own clan had it not been slaughtered.
