I've never been able to get the hang of reference tags, so I'll just throw this out for the more code-savvy to implement; the Swanmay debuted in the Monster Manual II for AD&D 1st edition, then reappeared for second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Volume 2 followed by the Monstrous Manual. It made its 3rd edition appearance in the Book of Exalted Deeds. The Black Swanmay is from Dragon #266 (December 1999).
