Alcohol is an intoxicating drink made through the process of fermentation. Depending upon the desired type of alcohol, grains, [[fruit|fruits] or vegetables are fermented. Alcohol is essentially both a poison and a drug. Its consumption impairs judgement wisdom and co-ordination dexterity. Alcohol addiction is the disease of alcoholism. A given alcohol has one or more DC ratings: for its creation, which is at least strongly correlated with its [price]]; for its toxicity, which is used when making Fortitude saves against involuntary inebriation; for its addictiveness, which is used when making Will saves against eventual addiction and when making Will saves to recover from alcoholism. Individual seeking to become inebriated may voluntarily fail their Fortitude saves.

In the absence of alcohol, an addicted individual may suffer a -2 morale penalty on all attack rolls, saves, and checks.
