Angela Foxglove[1] is the darklord and ruler of Vanitas. She is consumed with the vain desire to maintain her looks using the Bath of the Morning Sun. The Bath is a powerful artifact that grants immense physical beauty and youth at the cost of a human sacrifice (specifically the blood sacrifice of men). But it only grants such beauty for 24 hours, after which Foxglove reverts to the appearance of a disfigured husk of increasing age every time she uses the Bath. In order to escape suspicion for her regular murders, she stays concealed most of the time in order to guard her secret.
Angela is (unknown to herself) a wolfen, the daughter of a wolfwere named Jacninth and a vampyre named Richard Foxglove. Despite her revulsion for her bestial nature, she relies on her wolf form to kill victims for the Bath.
