Markov is a Vistani that belonged to the clan of Madame Varisha. They settled for a time near Cerlimieu in Dementlieu. Their presence caused the doppelganger Rhelmus Orbthright to fear being discovered by their the Sight of the Vistani. He murdered Markov and assumed his guise to murder Varisha. Varisha levied a curse upon all of Markov's implicated family until the killer was dealt with[1].
