Its sealed up temple persuaded Hilde that the Shay-Lot (Race) were locked in a perpetual slumber within. She settled in the small and remote fishing port of Tidemore, married its burgomeister, infected over half the population with the dread disease, and established a cult dedicated to the revival of the Shay-Lot.[1]
