Brother Pelov was a member of the Watchers at the Gate and resided at the Watchers' Stronghold in the Mountains of Misery of Darkon. The stronghold was overrun by member of the Unholy Order of the Grave dispatched by Death and come seeking the Key to the Abyss. Pelov was seized and kept alive only to serve as a blood bank for their leader, the vampire Master Bralkain. Pelov was rescued, at least temporarily, by heroes dispatched by Sister Eleyna of the Order of the Guardians in Mordent. The fate of Pelov and his order are uncertain, not in the least because of the last minute intervention of the Whistling Fiend in the affair.
