Mordu is a welcoming, eccentric, amateur scholar. He is probably not a native of Souragne but is not an outlander. He has a library that consists of "dozens of scrolls and books concerning Souragne and the 'lands beyond.'" One of the work is titled The Cult of the Swamp God. 
It is probably written in a language similiar to Darkonese and it is known that Mordu can read the text, it being his favour book. Another work is a biography, or perhaps an autobiography, of Anton Misroi written, however, in old Souragnien or some other language unknown to Mordu. As its precise title is not given, Mordu may not even realise that the work concerns Anton Misroi.
