The Somma Machine[1] is a horrible steam-powered contraption invented by Sir Edmond Continere (lord of the Isle of Desidia). This device handles the production of the somma drug as long as the seeds are dropped into it. Many a slave has fallen to their death in this machine, thanks to its complete lack of safety features and the continual, exhausting work the slaves face.
The inborn magic of the somma plant and the blood of the many slaves fallen into the Somma Machine have combined to animate it like a construct. If the machine is threatened, it can act as a mechanical golem with the ability to duplicate Sir Edmond's breath weapon every 3 rounds.
