Alfred Timothy is the darklord of the Core domain of Verbrek.[1][2][3][4] In the wake of the Grand Conjunction, he also acquired the lands formerly belonging to the vanished realm of Arkandale. This was principally due to his father's apathetic rule of that domain.[5][6] Like his father, he is a true werewolf. He he is also a cleric, leading the Cult of the Wolf God.[7][4]

Background

Alfred was born as part of a litter of six in Arkandale in 709 BC to Nathan Timothy, a werewolf, and Priscilla Schilling, possibly not a werewolf. He is the brother of Ester Timothy and William Timothy, and the uncle of Lawrence Timothy, all werewolves. His grandparents are Eowin Timothy, a werewolf, and Emily Gerhardt, possibly not a werewolf. His aunt was Irene Timothy and his great aunt was Ester Timothy, both werewolves. Thomas Dobbs is his cousin and Michael Ratcliff and Winifred Ratcliff are his second cousins, all werewolves. He married Evelyn Westerfield and in 721 BC she bore him a son, Lawrence Timothy.[8] In 730 BC, after murdering an old Vistani crone who had saved him from being burnt alive at the stake, Alfred was seized by the Mists and granted the domain of Verbrek of which he was darklord.[1][3][9] He later married Winifred Ratcliff, and together they produced a litter of werewolf offspring.[8]

Alfred grew up detesting his father's desire to peaceably (for the most part) deal with humanity.[1][2][4] Alfred believed that humanity was nothing more than livestock to his kind, and fully embraced the Cult of the Wolf God and became its leader. He also relishes the hunt, and one of his favorite sports is to offer a potential victim a running start to the border. If they can escape his pack, then they survive.[10]

At the same time, Alfred's curse causes him to revert back to his hated human form should he fully embrace his basest predator instincts, so even in the heat of the hunt he has to maintain himself. His greatest fear is for the others in his faith to discover this weakness.[9]

Current Sketch

Alfred is still the darklord of Verbrek and the leading cleric of the Cult. Though it greatly torments him, Alfred views his curse as a test from his deity, the Wolf God. Alfred believes he will overcome his burden by indulging in and encouraging greater and greater depths of depravity in the name of the Wolf God. Alfred views the absorption of Arkandale by Verbrek as a confirmation of these beliefs. At the same time, Alfred's refraining from going on hunts and finding a proper mate continue to undermine his social status among his peers. Although he has kept his hold as title of alpha wolf, a continual string of challengers rise to take it away from him.[9]

Lair

Alfred Timothy considers all of Vebrek to be his, but his seat of spiritual authority is the Circle.[11]
