They were founded by Ophelion, a celestial cursed with vampirism. Ophelion spends most of his existence now asleep in his crystal coffin, from where he communicates telepathically with the four elites of the order's high council. They drink his blood and have gained the benefits of the half-celestial template, though with shadow wings. They, in turn, allow the next lower members to drink upon their blood and become planetouched. They perform rituals venerating the Higher Darkness.[1]
