The Crimes of L'Ordures and Veille Nuit
Gaz2 says there's been violent offshoots of L'Ordures, but gives them no name. IMC the largest such branch is called Veille Nuit, and it's led by Athené from the Midnight Market. They haven't been around long, and have only really begun to differentiate themselves. But how? What crimes would L'Ordures draw the line at? I'm especially interested in suggestions for crimes that Veille Nuit has done recently that will I can list off for PC's sympathetic to L'Ordures to show that these are not the same people.

Perhaps they have begun using lethal poisons in the food & beverages that they taint. Or perhaps they have used burning effigies, that resemble the nobles/aristocracy. Some might have thrown acid at/on some of the aristocracy, scarring the poor soul hideously.
If you want the Veille Nuit to frame the L'Ordures for these crimes, just have them up the stakes - mimic the L'Ordures, but make the outcome lethal. If you want the Veille Nuit have a name for themselves, make them almost assassin-like in their actions.

I like this... make it all about escalation.Lord_Pruitt wrote:Perhaps they have begun using lethal poisons in the food & beverages that they taint. L'Ordures throws tomatoes at a passing noble but Veille Nuit throws acid.
L'Ordures paints grafitti on a noble's house, but Veille Nuit paints the graffiti in alchemists fire, and sets it alight.
L'Ordures burns effigies of nobles, but Veille Nuit hired a shady wizard to make the effigy the focus of a spell, so that the noble actually felt the flames (or more simply, actually kidnapped a noble and burned him).
