that sounds more like a network connection rather than a computer problem. Is your sister's computer in the same house as you? In the same network? check ipconfig /all on both (if using windows) and tell me the IP address on each and the network mask. Don't worry, it should be a local number that has no meaning outside your network (ie, the internet) so I shouldn't be able to do anything with it. To confirm, it should start as 192.168 something.
