Samuel giggles at Dofur's present state of mind. The dwarf's tone makes him
nervous until his captain reassures him. He has seen too many of his fellow sailors in such a state but fails to understand the importance of getting drunk just to have a hangover on the morrow. Maybe when he was older he'd understand, but for now he did not.

Hurrying below he gets the ships finest ale and stout meal for Dofur. He hurries up the stairs to the dwarf and carries not only a tray of food and ale
on one tray but a folding tray under his arm for Dofur's comfort.

He installs the folding tray first, then place the tray of food and ale on it for Dofur, including ustensils. He was not sure if the dwarf would use them, but would feel better if he left them for the dwarf at any rate.

He stood a few feet back from Dofur and waited, whilst the dwarf ate and drank.

Captain Giles wastes no more time in getting his vessel underway. Soon, you all have the opportunity to a fine view of Har-Thelen receding in the distance, as the big boat steams downriver...

END OF THE INTERLUDE
Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.
