Re: Mists over the Musarde, Chapter Ten
It should be apparent for everyone that Dofur is most utterly charmed by Thora.
His eyes are shiny and big every time he watches her.
(...More, the waterskin with the ale in it, actually, but I guess those feelings are very close in Dwarven psychology.)

The parlor-
Evangeline favors Dofur with a sad little smile.
The young lady rises to greet Thora, performing a graceful curtsey in front of the female dwarf.
''Welcome to my father's house, mistress nain. I am sorry to say you have come at a time of great sorrow. ''
The young lady pauses for a moment, then asks-
''Ah....would you care for some tea, perhaps?"

"Uh, tea, no thanks. I am looking for me brother Norzak like I told them outside. I did run after the carriage and near caught it before they threw an incendiary device at me.
I would be curious as to know what has transpired here? I'd also like to find out who did this and show them my appreciation with my friend bleeder who is strapped ot my back."
Looking at Benn question the men she realizes they might be able to tell who is responsible. Without missing a beat she walks over to them.
Going eye level with the one, she puts her face right at his, her hand however sneaks out and grabs his crotch squeezing tightly, turning her hand a little to make the man very uncomfortable.
"Squeel like the pig you are, or else I'll cut 'em off? Understood?" She removes her axe head from her hip and holds it in her other hand. "So what's it gonna be, scumbag?"

"Who paid him? I want to know who did this."
"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

The man being tortured by Thora squeals, but more like a person in great pain than a like pig.
Evangeline immediately leaves the room, a shocked look on her pale face.
The other prisoner, still shaking from his previous panic attack, manages to stutter an answer for Benn-
''I duh...don't know. Some stranger with a luh..lot of gold. I...I...I only saw him for a moment. He was wearing a hat and cloak. Didn't suh..see his face."

"This man here or him of any more use to us?" Thora growls then looks back and winks at Benn with a wink.
Turning back she scowls at her captive and squeezes even harder then growls again "If we have no use for this one, maybe the gendarmes will only find one prisoner. That'd be yours. I can get rid of this one real easy seeing as he seems useless. So?" She looks at the man and grins as evilly as she can, axe head swaying back and forth.

Thora's victim screams-
''Ahhhhh, please don't hurt me anymore, I don't know anything!"

"Awright. Now listen to me, an listen to me good. Yer came here by someone else's wishes to do harm to this nice family.
Looks like one man is dead, another lady is unconscious an yer pal on the carriage did this to me." She points to her burnt
clothing and charred skin. She removes her hand and puts away her axe head.
"Now, you are going to do as this man asks. Tell him everything you know. The men you were working with, anything you know about the man who hired you. Anything at all, am I understood? Then, if they are satisfied you are telling the truth, and believe me you better be. Then you will apologize to Mr Sancerre and his family. Am I clear on this matter? Now, if these nice people are not satisfied with your answers, then can promise you that my previous attitude will be kind in comparison to what I will do to you. You made me shock that nice young lady out of the room. I do not take lightly shocking ladies and men of society. Now, talk and spill your guts. Your life depends on it."
Turning to the other thug whom Benn is interrogating she says "The same goes for you, pal. Answer him to his satisfaction or the gendarmes will have to pick you up in little pieces little man."
Thora moves away from the thug and states "I would like to speak to Mr Sancerre and apologize to the young lady who I just shocked. I am sorry if I upset anyone here but these thugs put me in a right bad mood." She looks at Benn and points at Charlotte. "Will the young lady survive?"

Re: Mists over the Musarde, Chapter Ten
The two thugs 'spill their guts' in a stream of babble. Among the pleas for mercy, sobs of terror, and confused apologies, you all may discern the following:
- The thugs work for a man named Clothard the Butcher.
Clothard sent his minions to kidnap Denys and Evangeline Sancerre after having been paid to do so.
The identity of the man behind the job, the one who hired Clothard, is not known to these two men.
Clothard did not warn the kidnap crew about your party, but told them that Sancerre would probably not be well-gaurded.
Clothard's headquarters is a social club in the River Quarter. The thugs provide directions.

Satisfied that the two men have said everything they know, Benn turns to head back to Charlotte's side. He stops, however, and turns towards Thora.
"I'm sorry, I don't believe we've been introduced. I am Bennedict Gehrman, and I gather from your earlier comments and your...ahem...interrogation techniques that you are in some way associated with our lost companion, Norzak."

"Yes, he is my younger brother. Where is he? I'd like to speak to him.
What do you plan to do with this infermation? I wouldn't mind heading over to this place
and teach someone some manners. And find a healer for me burns."

The look in Dofur's eyes changes as he watches Thora.
While he looks at her torturing the prisoner, something very hard enters his face.
He quietly puts the flask with the beer on the table, his facial expression of a threatening clarity.

Sancerre House-
Denys returns.
''I have dispatched messengers on horseback to seek out the gendarmes, a doctor, and Dorgio. I would have also sent for Alain, but I have no idea where he's staying. Damn but the ostler complained at being awakened at such a late hour!"
Denys lets out a dark little chuckle.
He stops chuckling when his eyes pass over Klaus's shrouded corpse.
''That is a black shame. He was a good and faithful servant. "
Turning his attention to the two prisoners, he asks-
''So, did we learn anything from these two villains?''
Denys returns.

Sancerre House
Dorgio arrives at the Sancerre house and dismounts. careful to land with his left foot. He hobbles into the home, using his spear as a walking stick. One might notice the hole in his right boot and the lump of scar tissue where his toe should be.
"Gentlemen," he says, indicating Jon. "You are remembering our friend." But then he sees the corpse. "Black and shadow," he curses when he sees the corpse. "Who were we losing? Something was attacking me too, a demon like a rat."
His eyes go to Benn. "The servant, he said Charlotte was wounded. Let me be taking a look."

Sancerre House-
Jon greets Benn with a simple 'hello' and then goes to inspect the dead man (Klaus the servant).
''A Falkovnian.''
Denys goggles a bit at Jon's appearance.
''Are you...euh....do I know you, monsieur?''
