excellent, wonder how many signs got nicked before they cottoned on to it.

I just realised I also live about 10 miles from Badger's Mount, but I haven't been there at night to verify if they do...

And yes there is a place called Cockermouth in Cumbria, which in itself is only mildly amusing but they had to go one better with their music festival

You know I waited but I guess I have to add it now... Thought it was to obvious. :wink:

Lake Titicaca which while phonetically funny in English, when translated to English I think is "Rock Puma"?!?!?! :?

Funny that you mention it, because seen it from space, the lake has actually the form of a pouncing Puma. How the Incas came with the name, only the Mists know... :wink:

Birdlip Maps has a map of Britain in which only placenames of a "Funny Ha-Ha, funny peculiar, or Wondrous Strange Nature" are included. Oddly enough, it has no blank spots anywhere on the map...

There is a town in England that its inhabitants pronounce "Sitterton" even though it has an "H" right after the first letter.

Some say the shape is "watchable" from some islands in the lake. I did some research since this lake is in my home country and they say that actually the puma shape was more noticeable centuries ago. This lake changes shape a lot, it seems.

It also reminds me of a Lake Zarovich somewhere in the mists... :wink:
