Hey Ail, Thanks for making the thread international.

One I forgot to include before is the Lost River. I must have misplaced it when writing my first post.
Only two things scare me and one is former back-up dancers for Christina Aguilera.

My pleasure. I usually like to rebel against a too anglo-american centric view-point of the world. Sort of reminding people there's more world out there, when we live in a society where it seems that only English-speaking countries are worth knowing about: every alien that visits the planet seems to have a fetish for America or the UK, and it's always there the confrontation is solved. Recently, it seems they also go for Russia and the Eiffel Tower, but those tend to be only distractions any way.

Must be a variant of the anthropic principle.

Ah! But perhaps there's some knoll that deserved the qualification of Mount?

If that is so that knoll has decided to flee to find others of it's kind long ago... Or someone leveled it to make it into crop land for their farm.

El Tigre (The Tiger/Jaguar), Anzoategui, Venezuela
El Tigrito (The Little Tiger/Jaguar), Anzoategui, Venezuela

These are within, say, half an hour of each other, and are actually two of the biggest cities in central Anzoategui, one of Venezuela's "plains states". "Tigre" would usually be "tiger", but Venezuelans use it to refer to jaguars too.

Agua Caliente (Hot Water), Sucre, Venezuela
Agua Fria, (Cold Water), Sucre, Venezuela

Again, two towns (very small towns) within a few miles of each other, named for their respective springs.

Show Low, Arizona. (Built on land won by cutting a card deck, low card wins; the main street, Deuce of Clubs, is named for the winning card.)

Ever listen to The Arrogant Worms, a Canadian comedy band? They have a song about the abundance of weird place names in Newfoundland, like Killbride, Blackhead, and Woody's Point.

Oh, did I mention that the song's title is "A Night In Dildo"?

Guess it's no very creepy but it always makes me chuckle. :P

Hey a fellow player form Chile! This is great! I wanted to name that town!, seems you beat me to it.

In Córdoba, Argentina there's a town called "Salsipuedes" which means "leave if you can". The funny part is, that it's actually really easy to get lost in the area around this little town... :D

There *used* to be a Maggie's Nipples, WY-- but I imagine everyone got tired of their signs being stolen.

In Newfoundland there is a town called Dildo, and in England there is a town called Maidenhead.

At some point in my life I want to send a letter from one to the other just for the novelty factor.

In Austria there is a town with an even more unfortunate name and its road signs are something of a tourist attraction. One particular road sign also has another one next to it saying "Please not so fast" in German.
