Off Topic - Request for Swiss travel info

Post by Catman Jim »

Sorry for an off-topic post, but this is one of the most cosmopolitan groups I know.

I need to go on a 'last-minute' business trip in less than two weeks, and was wondering if there is anyone out there that could give me any advice on traveling in Switzerland or suggestions on what to do while I'm there. I will be flying into Geneva, then going by train to Lausanne, Vevey, & Montreux. I'm only going to be there for three working days, and most of that will be with work colleagues, but I imagine I'll have some 'down-time' to strike off on my own. I have already looked through all the various travel guides, and on-line resources so I know the high-lites, but if anyone has specific advice, please PM me. Thanks in advance, or to start practicing my very rusty French, merci!
I only wish I had retired sooner!

:) No idea, I fear... Why don't you visit Germany too?

I'd like to, but I only have three days. There is a chance that I will be coming over twice more this summer, both to Switzerland and to Amiens, France. I've been told that I can have my wife accompany me on one trip per year, so maybe we will add a vacation to one business trip.
I only wish I had retired sooner!

:) If you happen to take a small deviation to Germany, you know where to stop.
