I had to hunt a bit for this. I haven't looked into these books in years.

That would be the vampire Armand (formerly known as Amadeo, fomerly known as Andrei).

Hm. Okay.

In 1903, Mary E. Wilkins-Freeman, better known for her "local color" stories of New England, gave us the tale of an unusual vampire. Who was that vampire?

Very well, this can be very easy if you've read it or reasonably hard if you haven't.

What vampire in the literature was bound to use only anagrammic names of her true name?

Was that Carmilla (Mircalla, Millarca) Karnstein?

If so, here's my question:

What two scientific minds played a part in Mary Shelley's creation of the novel Frankenstein? Hint: neither are fictional.

Bonus points:which two non-fictional sources reputedly inspired Victor Frankenstein in the novel?
"And did she ever come out?"
"Not Yet".

I take it you are not asking about her writer friends that were gathered in 1816 reading ghost tales, and from which Frankenstein came?

Erasmus Darwin (Charles Darwin's father) was rumored to be doing experiments with reanimating matter and was one possible inspiration. Also wasn't Percy Shelley something of a scientist himself? I seem to remember reading that he was the equivalent of a physics/bio major at university, doing experiments with electro-magnetism and such. Would these be the two scientific minds you were referring to?

Good questions! :D
