I play 3.5 e6. Lets me use the great 3.5 system without having the world full of gods and demigods. BTW to expensive for a 2/2 creature, the again maybe not. I'm an old Magic player and cannot get used to the new creature-packed decks they have these days.. Crying or Very sad All you need are 2 more...

Elminster, Alustriel, Drizzt Do'urden, Wulfegar and Shandril- shortly, all those power-stuffed goodi-goods from the FR, add anyone else you wish - are drawm to Ravenloft. How would you kill them? 2 easy ways. Start the game at level 1000. Or just make pun pun or the like. The exercise is rather sil...

I tend to like to leave the meeting to the PCs, either encouraging them to know each other through backgrounds, or find ways to have them meet-up. Otherwise, just having them hired or in the right place at the wrong time works. It's alot of work for something that really before the actual adventure...

In my campaign the only source of mithril is from outlanders who have brought it with them from other lands.

And at least for me personally, that wouldn't be too big a deal. I always found--IME, of course--that Ravenloft campaigns where the PCs were portraying natives of Ravenloft, and "escape" simply wasn't part of the equation, to be much more satisfying than games where the PCs were playing o...

I think that they should just leave Ravenloft 3.5, personally. 4E doesn't seem that appealing to me. I don't want to turn my favorite game into something that just doesn't 'fit' with the original feel of D&D. From what all I've read, they've turned the new edition of D&D into a MMORPG. It's...

Check out the FAQ here:

http://www.fraternityofshadows.com/FAQs.html

It pretty much covers all the basics of the setting.

FYI, the White Wolf d10 system is called the Storyteller System (or Storytelling System).

True, the Divinity of Mankind doesn't worship a god, but the philosophical ideal of human perfectibility. IIRC, it started out as a concept that TSR's Ravenloft writers imported from the 2E Complete Priest's Handbook , although it's evolved into something much more distinctive since then. My previo...

Keep in mind that there is no god granting him powers in the first place. It is the dark powers. As long as he believes in something, no matter how he twists it, the dark powers are likely to keep granting him power. I'm sure it talks about this in the Ravenloft PHB as well, but I'm too lazy to dig...

I think that in any other world Simon would loose his powers... But this being Ravenloft, religion doesn’t give very rigid codes or standards. Keep in mind that there is no god granting him powers in the first place. It is the dark powers. As long as he believes in something, no matter how he twist...

WotC Monster Manuals [3.5]

I took a look at the book reviews and there was only the MM2 listed.

What are people's opinions on them?

I've heard good things about MM3 but I'm not sure if it would be good for Ravenloft.

Yes, but 3rd/3.5 (or 2nd, or OD&D) was better
Those editions still exist.

The best example of anti-piracy methods encouraging more piracy is with movies.

If you buy a legitimate copy you are forced to sit through an anti-piracy advertisement.

Though if you download it illegally you can just get to watching the movie.
