Re: Your Ravenloft Videogame
Set in Barovia, probably revolving around Immol and the Thaani. 3.5 rules, but with fairly limited character customization options to emphasize very specific character development (a la Planescape:Torment). The important part is that since it's set in Barovia but the mind flayers would be the villai...

Re: Ilsabet Obour and Ivana Boritsi: What's the Difference?
I will point out that Malocchio Aderre is not a darklord (he's only bound to Invidia because of the Vistani's actions during The Evil Eye ), so claiming that he's in Ravenloft because the Dark Powers are interested in him is somewhat misleading (not to say that they aren't interested in him, but the...

Re: Expanding Touch of Death
One option mentioned in the adventure (but not further expanded) was an encounter with Nephthys, the mummy of Ankhtepot's estranged wife. As written, she's just a deus ex machina to appear if the PCs are about to be overwhelmed by desert zombies, but perhaps she could have the ankh to open her husba...

I've long been a fan of Carcharodon Isle (from the Book of Souls) and Whäl (from the Book of Sorrows) as additional ports of call in the Sea of Sorrows.

I completely forgot about them... And none of the kids were vampyres, were they? [EDIT] Whoop, hold on: Brangain is noted in the Mistipedia as struggling with her 'half-vampyre nature'. In Castles Forlorn , she was a regular human; however, to quote The Weeping Land , pg 65: "Brangain is not a...

Re: Return of Paridon countryside?
One option could be to have Farelle join the Zherisian cluster. After all, based on Ryan Naylor's "The Jackal Who Would Not Be a Coward" from the Book of Sacrifices , part of Jack Karn's curse is to watch his wildness be overtaken by cultivation and civilization, and joining with (and subs...

Re: Night of the walking dead fluff.
A voodoo faction sounds like a good start for him. He needs to make it obvious and make it scary. Maybe the other faction attacks them at night with some zombies of its own. There is no reason there can't be two factions with zombies. Check out the “Viola” adventure from Stu of the Kargatane’s camp...

4)Gabrielle Aidaire She would tie it to the Gentleman Caller. Disagree with this one: Gabby Aderre is well-versed in Vistani lore, so her knowledge of the Dark Powers more likely reflects the Vistani cultural perception of them rather than any sort of personal experience (this applies to Inza, Mada...

Re: Mysteries of the Von Zarovich Family
If you go to Stu of the Kargatane’s campaign journal, he actually made the circumstances of Lisbeth and Vasili’s deaths a major part of the player character Ilyich’s backstory (the short version: Lisbeth was a member of the Keepers of the Black Feather; Vasili was a member of the Ba’al Verzi; they d...

Re: Rune Magic in Ravenloft
In the FoS's Nocturnal Sea Gazetteer, their updates to Graben Island include a lot of runestones scattered as a remnant of the "old magic" prior to Nebligtode being pulled into the demiplane. Sounds like a good spot for someone to rediscover runic magic.

Re: The 13 Demons of Ravenloft
Since marionettes are controlled by puppet masters, perhaps a fiend of possession would fit this role, especially if it were infamous for possessing dolls or more general inanimate objects. Elsepeth trapped her victims' spirits in dolls, so she would actually fit really well there, too. For the Inn...

Re: How could Malochio free himself?
I can definitely see the first plan working, being in essence what happened to Gundar I will point out, however, that Gundar's resurrection had the special feature of the Grand Conjunction causing his domain to cease to exist in between his staking and his revival (and thus he no longer had a domai...

Re: How would you change the brain into a dark lord?
One thing that has always slipped off the radar because of the Brain's conflict with Dominic is his relationship with Victor Mordenheim - after all, the Brain is well aware of Mordenheim's role in making him "what he is today." Perhaps his darklord curse places him back in the hands of eit...

Re: PRC for a cleric of the Church of hala?
Another way to distinguish the witches of Hala from other clerics is to have them use the Witch spell list from 3.0 (I believe it was in the 3.0 DMG) instead of the standard cleric spell list. They'd still get their domain spells, spontaneous casting, etc., but get a very distinct flavor (I believe ...
